Takeru Kobayashi eats 67 Hamburgers in World Hamburger Eating Championship

Japan’s Takeru Kobayashi, best known as the world’s champion speed hot dog eater, consumed 67 Krystal hamburgers in eight minutes to win the 2005 Krystal Square Off World Hamburger Eating Championship in Chattanooga, TN.

San Jose’s Joey Chestnut, 21, led much of the way but settled for second place in the burger battle, eating 62. Sonya Thomas finished third with 56 hamburgers and Bob Shoudt took 4th with an impressive 51.
