One of the main reasons why in recent years the Singapore Government has always ensured that their Miss Universe pageant representative were of tertiary level education or higher was because of the following incident which happended not too long ago.

It is the final round of the Miss Universe Pageant and the 3 finalists, Miss USA, Miss Malaysia and Miss Singapore are being asked 3 simple questions:

MC: The first question is name me an electrical appliance starting with the letter “L”
Miss USA: Lamp
Miss Malaysia: Light bulb
Miss Singapore: LADIO
Judge: No. Radio does not start with the letter “L”

Then, the move on to the second question.

MC: I am going to give you 3 more chances; Now, name me an animal starting with the letter “L”
Miss USA: Lion
Miss Malaysia: Leopard
Miss Singapore: LABBIT
Judge: No, no!

A friend emailed me some pictures showing this latest water craft which was seen and captured in Abu Dhabi. I tried searching for more information, but couldn’t find anything useful.

Anyway, the pictures themselves are enough to amaze me. The water craft looks so cool, futuristic and high-tech. This should be a good companion to have a day out in the sea!

Christy Chung Lai-Tai (???) is a Cantonese movie star and super model. She started out as Miss Chinese Montreal in 1992. After winning this title, she went to Hong Kong to participate in the Miss Chinese International pageant in January 1993, in which she won.

A role in The Bride with White Hair 2 brought her instant fame, and she became a well-known star Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Chin, acting in a large number of films including some films starring Stephen Chow, as well as The Bodyguard from Beijing starring kungfu superstar, Jet Li.

Suvarnabhumi Airport, also known as Bangkok International Airport is the new international airport serving Bangkok, Thailand. The airport opened for limited service on 15 September 2006, and finally opened for all domestic and international flights on 28 September 2006.

Ever see a water bridge before? Check out this amazing mega structure in Germany which was completed in 2003 … It’s a record breaking construction, just look at the facts: It took six years to build, costed 500 million euros, and is 918 meters long…

Now, this is extreme engineering!

The water bridge is a channel-bridge over the River Elbe and joins the former East and West Germany, as part of the unification project. It is located in the city of Magdeburg, near Berlin. The photo was taken on the day of inauguration itself.

One of the reason why I started to like golf is because of this young lady, Michelle Wie. This young Korean American has gained a lot of attention for her long drives and attempts to make a cut at a PGA Tour event. In 2006, she was named in a Time magazine article, “one of 100 people who shape our world.”

By the way, did you see where is her golf club?
