I am not sure why they do not teach personal finance and related subjects such as credit cards and mortgages in elementary school before we go to college. This is because, once you hit the college campus you start to get credit cards in the mail automatically, regardless you applied or not. I am sure many of you have this experience.

Once you are out of college, you already have a few credit cards in your college. Many will also have engaged a mortgage or two for your properties. But, do you know what to look for when you get a mortgage? Remember, the mortgage that you are taking from a lender is a loan that is probably one of the largest debt you will have in your life. So, better gather all the information first before deciding which lender you go with!

It’s really important to have a habit of saving regularly. Some realize it but don’t have a real plan for the money and end up wasting it away, spending on unnecessary expenses.

Anyway, with which bank you open your savings account is equally important too. Unless you have a lot of money in the bank, the best interest rates around seem to hover about a half percent only. It is not very satisfactory to get your bank statement and see that you earned only $1 interest. That doesn’t give us any good reason to save in our savings account as the return is so low!

If I didn’t tell you, I am sure you don’t know that I am actually a big fan of backgammon. My friends and I use to play this backgammon game all the time during our lunch breaks or after our dinner, and believe it or not, usually I beat everyone every time. However, it has been a while since I last played though, and now seeing this site for online backgammon, I might just want to start playing again. I really enjoying winning the game over my friends.

Submission to web directories is one of the best ways to get more traffic for your website. However, the problem is there are thousands if not tens of thousands of such directories and all of them are similar between one another. You can submit to all of them but you may not benefit much from the submission because your link is buried deep inside the directories, i.e. page number 8, which requires a search engine to crawl as many as 8 pages before reaching your link.

These old fashioned web directories sort sites that sign up with them according to popularity, submission date, Google Page Rank, or alphabetically.
