I love eggs; hard boiled, scrambled, sunny-side-up, omelette and so on! So almost every morning, I could hear sizzles of egg frying in the pan, I knew I am waking up to the tasty scrambled eggs with baked beans. Either that, or something similar – as long as its eggs! Then one morning, I woke up to something different, heart shaped hard boiled egg!

Along with a kiss, I got a happy birthday wish from my sweetheart. How sweet! But wait, how in the world did she shape the egg so perfectly??

Presenting to you, the Japanese egg shaper! Wow, I love this thing. Simple yet so creative! There is a new art in town, the art of creating beautiful, cute and outrageous lunch box – in Japan, its called Bento! Anyway, back to the egg shaper. The common shape they have now is the heart shape and the star shape.

How cool is that?

Now, you must be wondering – won’t the egg crush if you place it in the mold and close it? But not to worry, there is a method in doing anything. And this is the method of how you should use your Egg Shaper!

All you need to do is:
Step 1
Boil some medium-large eggs until they are hard boiled. Make sure you let really cool water to run over the boiled eggs, so the shell is easier to peel. Then, peel off the shell.
Step 2
While hot/warm, place the egg into the egg shaper with the pointy side facing up.
Step 3
Close the cover and press down until you hear the click of the container. Then, just leave it aside to cool down.
Step 4
Open up the shaper. Walla! Your shaped eggs!

Simple as that! Besides heart shape and star shape, they have the Fish and Car shapes too!

Where to get these cool egg shaper? Well, we got ours at Daiso, a newly opened specialty store in The Curve, Mutiara Damansara for MYR5! It’s really cheap!

For other countries, you can check out JBox. It’s about US$3.50 for a pair!

Thanks BentoDelights for the pictures and information!

Well, you can consider what the above dude does, he basically fixed a whole loo in place of his car seat complate with a toilet tissue holder! What an ingenious idea! Hahaha… now, you do not need to worry about answering mother nature calls while on the road.

I think this dude’s invention is much more practical compared to the portable car toilet invented by the Japanese. What do you think?

It doesn’t matter how long you have been driving… but I am sure you do not know this trick. The little gas pump icon that denotes the fuel gauge on your car’s dashboard has really interesting hidden meaning, and it’s really useful too!

Before we go further, one quick question first; what side of your car is your gas tank located? If you are anything like me, you probably can’t remember right away. My solution is to uncomfortably stick my head out the window, strain my neck and look. If you don’t do this in your own car you are most certainly have done it in a borrowed or rental car. Right or not?

Look at the gas gauge icon more clearly. The handle of the gas pump extends out on either the left or right side of the pump. Do you know that if your gas tank is on the left, the handle will be on the left. If your gas tank is on the right, the handle will be on the right?!! What an amazing discovery!

Now please forward this page to all you know to share the world’s best kept auto secret with your friends as this is information is way too important to be kept a secret!
