I always like how Nippon paint portray themselves; colorful, environment-safe, toxic-free, odorless, easy-to-clean and well, colorful. Then again, they are selling paints, so it has to be colorful. On and off, I would try to catch the TV commercial whenever I am in front of the TV. Then one day, I saw this adorably cool Nippon TV commercial made by Malaysian Advertising Agency. If I am not mistaken, it is called Blobby. Awesome animation, simple concept and yes, colorful. Indeed, a good head on for Nippon paint and Malaysian Advertising industry. Let me show you a few clips from that TV commercial:

It seems that the truck holding Nippon paints had a minor accident to avoid a lizard crossing the road and spilled all the paints.

So the spilled paints turn into blobbies. Cute eh?

And walla! The blobbies are free to roam the town and streets, coloring walls and poles as they run along.

This yellow fella is cute enough to be captured.

Now this big fella is giving the wall a good rub-on. One olive green wall coming up!

Alright, alright, enough of the screen shots, lets get on with the video!

I have no idea what is this when I saw the first picture:

Then I got curious as usual and continue with the pictures hoping to figure out what designer “furniture” is this before I got to the last picture. One habit I usually have is making a guess from the pictures before reading the article. And when I get to the next picture, I go “WOW!”.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is a foosball table – yes, the toy where you whack the little ball with your team of little wooden/steel players attached to sticks. No doubt this foosball table is beautifully and conceptually designed as well. From the looks of it, wonderfully crafted too.

The little players are made of stainless steel, so shiny you can see your reflection on it. There are numbers etched on their chest, made them look stunningly classy.

This foosball table came with built-in lights, making the whole table look like a mini stadium! Clever.

Gone is the time where little smiling wooden players whacking balls with the “thak”, “thak” sound and squarish edge table – now replaced with futuristic “ping”, “ping” sound, shiny and cool little players that are conceptually designed for an awesome new mini table football sensation.
I wondered what toy is next.
