The woman went back upstairs and said to her husband, “That was Todd.” “Oh Great!” exclaims the husband, “did he say anything about the five hundred he owes me?”

The Genie & The Manager

A Sales Rep, a Clerk, and a Manager are walking to lunch when they see a really old oil lamp. Thinking that they found something valuable, they rub it and a lo and behold a Genie appears! The Genie says “I’ll give each of you one wish.” “Me first!” exclaims the Clerk. “I want to be in the Greek Islands, on board a yacht and without a care in the world.” Puff! And the Clerk disappears. “I’m next! I’m next!” says the Sales guy. “Take me to the Caribbean where I can laze on the beach with a gorgeous girl to massage me.” Puff! And he disappears. “OK, yout turn now” says the Genie to the Manager. The Manager says, “I want those two back in the office after lunch.”

Moral of the story:
Always let your boss have the first say.

The Turkey & The Bull

The Turkey said to the Bull. “I’d love to get to the top of that tree. But I haven’t got the energy.” “No problem” said the bull, “you can nibble on some of my droppings”. So the Turkey took a peck at some dung, and found the strength to reach the lowest branch. Next day, after pecking into more dung, the turkey got to the second branch. Finally after 3 days, the turkey reached the top of the tree and beamed with pride. Then a farmer spotted it and shot it down.

Moral of the story:
Bullshit might get you to the top, but it won’t keep you there.

Then when I got back home, I thought about the hand shadow illusions and started my search on the Internet. This is what I found, and 3 of the animals are similar to what the little girl has done. And I tried all myself:

This pig or wild boar is not easy to do, the top fingers have to bend a little with a bit of hump to form the forehead.

I called this the jumping dog and my girlfriend would laugh non stop when I wiggle the tail and legs by moving my thumb and other finger tips.

Now the little girl actually did the elephant, she even made the trunk goes up and down along with elephant sound (her version of course). My version of elephant is much, much fatter said my other half – Oh darn!

Camel is tough to form but once you got the fingers placed correctly, it looks really nice.

This human face shadow illusion is very interesting providing if you get your finger placement right.

Ducky seemed easy to do but finger bending is tough!

Presenting to you, the Japanese egg shaper! Wow, I love this thing. Simple yet so creative! There is a new art in town, the art of creating beautiful, cute and outrageous lunch box – in Japan, its called Bento! Anyway, back to the egg shaper. The common shape they have now is the heart shape and the star shape.

How cool is that?

Now, you must be wondering – won’t the egg crush if you place it in the mold and close it? But not to worry, there is a method in doing anything. And this is the method of how you should use your Egg Shaper!

All you need to do is:
Step 1
Boil some medium-large eggs until they are hard boiled. Make sure you let really cool water to run over the boiled eggs, so the shell is easier to peel. Then, peel off the shell.
Step 2
While hot/warm, place the egg into the egg shaper with the pointy side facing up.
Step 3
Close the cover and press down until you hear the click of the container. Then, just leave it aside to cool down.
Step 4
Open up the shaper. Walla! Your shaped eggs!

Simple as that! Besides heart shape and star shape, they have the Fish and Car shapes too!

And this year in Malaysia, it was the most happening event for the single men and women in more than 3 places in the state of Selangor itself.
Yes, they literally throw the tangerines and bananas into the pond. Like this:

How does it work, you may wonder. Well, its pretty simple actually, single women writes their names, phone numbers and some messages on tangerine oranges while the men does the same on bananas.

Here are the girls, busy scribbling on their oranges. Some will write names and phone numbers while the more expressive ones will write messages, draw cute smileys or perhaps even their star sign.

Here are some oranges fished out of the pond. Take notice of the details, I think some of them wrote their ages too!

Now, the men. I am not sure when they start implementing the use of bananas for this occasion but well, it suits the men anyway.

Men are probably more straight-to-the-point, minus the mushy messages.

“See you”? Maybe on the other side is “I hope you will find me”.

So after the writing and tossing, the fruit fishing starts! And boy, they are so well prepared! Some brought long poles with net to fish out the fruits! Some of them brought a small note book or phones so they could fish out a few oranges or bananas and jot down the necessary details on it. Then they toss the fruits back to the pond! How clever.

Fruit fishing is definitely a wet encounter.
