Having a pool is awesome, especially in hot sunny days. So you got yourself an inflatable pool, wade around it in the summer with your kids or yourself, if you are single that is.

10 feet in diameter and 30 inches high pool, with capacity to fill in 915 gallon at 80% full, and its not made with some flimsy materials, its made of super-tough rubbers with three separate layers of material for extra strength and durability! Perfect!

But suddenly, one morning you woke up, its gone. Impossible you say? Not so, by the accounts of the Valdivia family. Somebody or some group of people have cunningly and very swiftly took their 10-foot pool filled with 900 to 1000 gallon of water from their very backyard. The water? Not a spill. All that in 4 hours.

Mrs. Daisy Valdivia here are more annoyed than baffled.

The question is, what are the thieves going to do with a 10-foot inflatable pool? Like what Mrs. Valdivia said in CNN news the time of the reporting, “We have two grills, chairs, umbrellas, they’re much easier to take.” Why in the world do they have to take the pool? It’s not like it can be folded and placed in the pocket. Plus, you would need to take the foot pump, the ladder, the cover and the filter pump to fully use the pool. Unless, the thieves wanted to make a parachute or something out of it. Even to store a secret marine animal need those pumps and what not.

Indeed, its a really careful masterminding behind this theft plan. I think they have those professional tool kits, a lot of water containers or one huge tank on the lorry, long big hose, super-powered pump and a big, big lorry because the pool is foldable, but not the water. Still, its 900 to 1000 gallons of water, that’s as much as:

1 medium-sized fire truck;

18 to 19 barrels (55 gallon per barrel);

200 water containers (5 gallon per barrel);

6095 drinking bottles;

Now, if the water in the pool is drinkable, plus if presumably the thieves drink it up, it won’t leave a spill. If an average person could drink roughly about 0.625 gallons per day (According to wikianswers) it would take 1600 thieves to drink all that!

Anyway, away with the theories of the “missing 10-foot pool”. Since the Valdivia family won’t be able to get their pool back, they would need to get a new one. And this time, with a pool lock or a backyard security system, just in case the pool thieves are back.
