Well now I don’t have to wait so long anymore, as a company in Hong Kong has developed a special battery operated stove made especially for cooking Cup Noodles.

All you have to do is add water and set the timer for three to four minutes. When its down the small stove turns off and your noodles are ready! It even makes an alarm sound to alert you that your food is done. Sure it looks a lot like a regular hotplate, and sure there is always the chance that the heat from the stove could melt the Styrofoam container around your noodles, but isn’t it a risk you should be willing to take? Haha…

Cool stuff indeed!

Using the combination of people in everyday situations and activities with cute puppet-like food animations, these series has simple concept and nicely executed video editing. The puppet-like characters consist of the pink frosted donut, the coffee cup, the cigarette, the snack pack, chocolate chips cookie, the peeled banana, the sushi and so on. My favourite ones are the pink frosted donut and the coffee cup. Check it out!

This is one of my favourites. The idea of making those foods as naughty and nosy as possible are really cool. You got to see the pink frosted donut playing with the pendulum and got hit by it on the tummy. Check out the video HERE!

This ad is shorter compare to the others and without human element. Nicely done earthquake effect. Watch the video HERE!

You have to watch THIS! No foods in this one except for the opera gum! The gum sings!

After watching these TV ads, I would really like to see those cute foods as plushes. It would be quite adorable, don’t you think so?

Seeing that the product is fireworks, I think they meant “Thunder Clap” which makes sense but this product name would definitely catch more attention. Made in China.

“Handicrapped” or “handicapped”, doesn’t matter when you are showing compassion. Made in Laos.

Personally, I think this is a creative effort by it’s designer. You know, “Famous Scrap” is a little too long and not hip enough, it does seems much cooler with “Famouscrap” and the “s” circled. Well, when you are in Japan, who cares about the word “crap”. Made in Japan.

It doesn’t matter if you don’t know what “crap” really means, if you visualize the “p” to look like a “b”, it does sound appetizing. Made in Seoul, Korea.

In Vietnam, people just love fresh “crap”. So many ways to cook it! Made in Vietnam.

Ok, this is the only “crap” word on food I found in a non Asian country, which is Romania. However, this is not a misspelling nor a typo error nor a “crab” word confusion – its deliberate and a real word in Romania. “Crap” in Romania means “Carp”, a kind of fish.

To my surprise, this is the first picture I saw when I typed “bbq donut” and pressed SEARCH:

Well, I understand why it is called “donut” because of the round shape, but I don’t know why “bbq”. So the probing and researching began.

At this stage of understanding, I am still not so sure what it was:

And there! Now I know what it is. It is a round BBQ donut that floats on water and you can barbeque on it at the same time:

Now that is super cool!

The BBQ Donut is designed by a German guy, who’s an inventor and entrepenuer, Sebastian Schmitt, with low smoke and charcoal burning BBQ from the famous Outdoorchef. It floats steadily on water and built with sturdy roof to give shade over the extreme sunshine, or rain for that matters. It measured at about 12 feet in diameter, can surf in up to 20 inches of waves and it will go “putt putt” in 2.5mph. And it is equipped with sound system!! This superb gadget gives us, Malaysian (or Singaporean) a big chance to say, “Don’t play play ar” in an international level.

All you need is a few close friends, two or three bottles of good wines and food! There you go….Floating in blissfulness, tasting and smelling great bbqs!

The smart thing about this invention is the space for advertising. Good concept, good profit. You rent this out to people, or sell it to some rich dude and get to advertise at the same time.

I don’t mind getting on the BBQ Donut with these two.

The only hurdle I can think of is getting this huge floating donut to where you want it. This is one way to transport it:

I thought about it for awhile and thought, well, it would be great to experience it, but owning it…. Well, maybe not now.

And one last thing, it is only available in Europe and possibly the US. Oh Darn!
