Japan – the land of the rising sun, where odd fashions can be found, eccentric inventors lurking somewhere to churn out brilliant ideas and bowing is the greatest greeting trend. Then there is the public facilities; the cute payphone booth, the singing soda machine and of course, the important one – the public toilet. After all the green teas, you got to pee right?

There are rules in using the public toilets in Japan of course, just like how the sign shows it:

Let’s see now, sit properly, don’t squat on the toilet seat, don’t stick your head into the toilet bowl, don’t pee standing up (for the men), no fishing (what in the world are we to fish in there anyway?) and no dog style peeing at the urinals (very creative).

Then there is the more serious part of using signs about Japan’s public toilet:

I didn’t know using the toilet can be a threat to the strengthening of protection – unless, getting stuck in the toilet bowls requires attention from the national security.

OK, this is really funny. Before I looked closely at the photo, I thought the green guy is kids, you know, toilet size for kids:

Just in case the alien pays a visit, I suppose.

I bet the inventor of this got his/her idea while peeing:

How about that, battery than works by using pee. Not bad for an invention. Just make sure you dun get too overexcited and spill the “juice” in the battery or you’ll have a “scented” battery as well.

In Boist, Idaho, February 2006, a woman discovered a very unique potato; a heart-shaped potato. Yeap, you heard me, heart-shaped. It’s amazing how it got through the state’s inspection system, as any unique or weird shaped potatoes will be turned into french fries and those which are perfect oval or round-shaped potatoes will be sold in the market. But during Potato Lover’s Month, which is February, this unique potato made it through the “chop chop” and into Linda Greene’s home:

This is Linda Greene with Love Potato, very near her own heart.
So happen that Linda here, loves heart-shaped items, from jewelries to postcards to pendants and anything that is heart-shaped. Well, it seems that this potato has found its new home, loved by this lady.

Its said that Linda placed her precious potato in the basement cupboard and she did mentioned that she was wondering if she plant this potato, will it sprout heart-shaped potatoes too? We are wondering the same thing. Well, she can definitely try and we would love to know the result. But it has been 2 years plus now, and we have yet to hear of the Heart Potato in Idaho.

For more of Linda Greene and her Love Potato, click HERE!

Here’s a close up of a heart-shaped potato found at the Potato Festival at Sentry Hill Historic House, UK:

Yes! Wordy laugh is back after so long, and boy, I got a lot of craps to share to all FunnyCoolStuff readers today! Let’s see, today’s special word is “crap”. Why? I tell you why. East Asian always got it wrong when they pronounce or spell anything close to “crap”. For example:

Seeing that the product is fireworks, I think they meant “Thunder Clap” which makes sense but this product name would definitely catch more attention. Made in China.

“Handicrapped” or “handicapped”, doesn’t matter when you are showing compassion. Made in Laos.

Personally, I think this is a creative effort by it’s designer. You know, “Famous Scrap” is a little too long and not hip enough, it does seems much cooler with “Famouscrap” and the “s” circled. Well, when you are in Japan, who cares about the word “crap”. Made in Japan.

It doesn’t matter if you don’t know what “crap” really means, if you visualize the “p” to look like a “b”, it does sound appetizing. Made in Seoul, Korea.

In Vietnam, people just love fresh “crap”. So many ways to cook it! Made in Vietnam.

Ok, this is the only “crap” word on food I found in a non Asian country, which is Romania. However, this is not a misspelling nor a typo error nor a “crab” word confusion – its deliberate and a real word in Romania. “Crap” in Romania means “Carp”, a kind of fish.

Made in Romania

Thanks to Engrish.com for the great sources.

Are you into Anime? Are you so into Anime that you would sell your other stuffs or pull a tighter belt to get your favorite Anime items and memorabilia? Would you fight for the concept called Anime?

How far would you go to look like one?
This is how anime eyes looked like:

Now, try beating this girl in an Anime look-alike contest:

See, the thing is – it is not wrong to get yourself a brand new look, or an extreme make-over. In fact, it is somewhat necessary to get a fresh outlook once awhile. So here, we have some kids that wanted more than just different colored contact lens, they wanted colored AND enlarged contact lens. How does it work? Well, it’s the same with normal contact lens except that when these contact lenses are put on, the pupils of the eyes look bigger and somewhat similar to the eyes of those characters in the Anime world.

There you go, the new trend that got the youngsters in Japan swooning for, especially the girls. Buy it, wear it and live as an anime. Don’t be surprised if you see one or two groups of them parading around in Japan’s malls. I know I won’t be.

I do admit they are a little creepy though.
